Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

• Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your plain-text password).
• Content you provide: images you upload and the video settings you choose, so we can render your videos.
• Billing data: handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your card details. We keep a record of your subscription status and Stripe customer ID.
• Usage data: your render job history (so you can see and re-download past videos) and basic request metadata (like IP address) used for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.
• Landing page analytics: when you visit our landing page, we log the page path, the referring site (if any), and a country derived from your IP address at that moment. We look this up locally and don't store the IP address itself, and this isn't tied to your account or any cookie.

2. How We Use It

• To provide the Service — generate, store, and let you download your videos
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
• To communicate with you about your account, if needed
• To understand where visitors come from and how the site is growing (see Landing page analytics above)

We don't sell your data, and we don't use your uploaded images or videos for advertising or to train any model.

3. Third Parties We Use

• Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe's Privacy Policy)
• Hetzner Online GmbH — our hosting provider, based in Germany
• Let's Encrypt — provides the TLS certificate that secures this site

4. Data Retention

We keep your account data and render history for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email wifiuniyt@proton.me and we'll action it, subject to what we're legally required to keep (e.g. billing records). Deleting your account also ends your subscription and access to the Service — you will no longer be a customer and will need to sign up again if you want to use BounceMatch in the future.

5. Cookies

We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics. Our landing page analytics (see Section 1) are first-party, run entirely on our own server, and don't use cookies or track you across visits.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to how we process it. To exercise any of these, email us and we'll respond as required by applicable law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout the site and secure password hashing. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new date.
